Terms & Conditions – HSEdx

By accessing or using HSEdx, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.


1. About HSEdx

HSEdx is a learning platform developed by the National Fire Safety Institute (NFSI). NFSI has market presence since 2012 and is owned by the Labour Employment & Environment Development Council (LEEDC).


2. Definitions

  • Platform: HSEdx website, LMS and related services

  • User: any person who accesses or uses HSEdx

  • Content: courses, videos, text, quizzes, certificates, downloads, graphics

  • Corporate Client: an organisation purchasing licences/subscriptions for learners


3. Account Registration & Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate details and keep them updated.

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.

  • Account sharing, resale, or misuse may lead to suspension or termination.


4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • copy, record, download (where prohibited), distribute, or resell platform content

  • attempt unauthorised access, hacking, or interference with platform security

  • upload malicious code or misuse platform features

  • misrepresent course completion or certification status


5. Courses, Certificates & Disclaimer

  • Courses are designed for learning and awareness.

  • Certificates (if issued) indicate completion as per platform criteria and do not substitute statutory licences unless explicitly stated.

  • Actual safety performance depends on workplace implementation.


6. Pricing, Payments & Subscriptions

  • Pricing, features, validity, and course availability may change.

  • Subscriptions are provided for the period mentioned at purchase/contract.

  • Corporate subscriptions may be governed by additional commercial terms (quotation/PO/contract).


7. Refunds / Returns

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Return & Refund Policy published on HSEdx (and corporate contract terms where applicable).


8. Intellectual Property Rights 

All platform content, branding, logos, and materials are owned by or licensed to HSEdx/NFSI/LEEDC and protected under Indian laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.


9. Privacy & Data Protection 

Use of HSEdx is also subject to the Privacy Policy. Personal data processing is aligned with applicable Indian framework, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and allied rules.


10. Platform Availability & Changes

We may modify, update, or discontinue any part of the platform to improve service, ensure security, or comply with law. Temporary outages may occur due to maintenance or third-party issues.


11. Limitation of Liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HSEdx/NFSI/LEEDC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of business, profits, data, or goodwill.


12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify HSEdx/NFSI/LEEDC against claims or losses arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.


13. Termination / Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • Terms are violated,

  • fraud/misuse is suspected,

  • required by legal or security reasons.


14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction (Vadodara, Gujarat)

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including (where applicable) the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and allied rules, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Copyright Act, 1957.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
